Who are the worst/most depressing 2 players with whom we could have snuck top 4 this year?

I'll say Oriol Romeu at DM and James Tavernier at RB would have gotten us there. Good reliable pros who'd have filled our 2 biggest problem spots this season and we'd have limped just ahead of Arsenal and Spurs.

I'll also accept historical answers like a Prime Christian Poulsen at DM or Giourkas Seitaridis at RB.
