Which PS3 Games?

Am about to get a PS3 (80GB) for me and my brother....I am not usually a games person, and play Football Manager 2007 at the most. Any thoughts on which games I should be getting?

I hear FIFA 2009 is the one to wait for. Any good strategy games? Also, need a good racing game (Is there an Formula One game?)

There is a formula one game but its far more arcadey like than simulation but if you don't mind that then get it. MGS 4 is the only game I spent a decent amount of time playing on my ps3. Uncharted is a nice game too.
For racing sims I'd go for GT prologue.

Ps wait and see what pro evo 09 is like before buying fifa 09.

I'm going to have a fab time treating myself to all the latest & best title releases for the ps3 in which I have not yet played, Oh I will also buy an xbox360 elite with the best games for it, No I won't give a toss if it breaks, Why should I, I'm £78,918.90 richer :drool:
 
Warhawk is one of the best PS3 games, I've put more hours into that than any of my other games (except maybe Tekken DR...). Its awesome.

Motorstorm is a lot of fun if you can get it for cheap.
 
When I got my PS3 I bought:

Oblivion IV
COD4
Burnout Paradise
Assassin's Creed
Ninja Gaiden Sigma

I didn't really need to buy AC, but i was a fan of Prince of Persia so I wanted to try it out. I think that covers most genres except footie (for which you should probably with till next month and get the new PES) and beat 'em ups (which I'm not a fan of, but Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter look good).
