when he's on form ?

For me, I would have to say Rivaldo. Best set piece taker on the planet. He can score from outside and inside the box. Deadly accuracy. When he's on, there's nobody better.

I must say Rivaldo is always a threat. He showed when United played Barcelona in Spain, and he was incredible. He can turn a game on its head and do things from nothing.

Del Piero at Juventus is fantastic too, except injuries have blighted his career, otherwise he too is dangerous at set peices.

Others include Patrick Kluivert and Christian Vieri, who are both excellent strikers. Rui Costa is classy as well and against Uniteds' back line I am nervous whenever anyone gets the ball in our area, even Barthez. ;)

Although it pains me to say this, Michael Owen when he is on top form is a threat to any team in the world....Imagine him in a team alongside players like...Veron...Giggs...Keane...Scholes...Beckham..
Van Nistelrooy

Ronaldo? Maybe about 4 years ago.
Ronaldo has more or less lost it and only his commercial value helps him survive.
He was injured again last weekend and I believe he will never be able to put this behind him, France '98 may have been his last chance to shine.

Unfortunately it is a big waste of talent as I had high hopes for him. He had just signed for Inter Milan for god knows how much and had a big future ahead of him. Now he is only about 26 and was scoring again in the past fortnight but now if I see his name on the teamsheet I smile rather than cringe.

Don't take it as i like him, in fact i hate the guy, but i don't know, i fear most........

...gotta be rivaldo. he can score from anywhere on the pitch, pass the ball superbly, or dribble through your entire team.

Peter Fear... run for your lives. Never get on the wrong side of him. Top form <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Luis Figo. He may not be the best put he surely can change a game with his dribbling or asissts. :D

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Can't stop scoring against us.

Ronaldo. You can stop Rivaldo from getting close, but Ronaldo can take the ball from 50 yards and blow by your defence. No one has been as good at this since Diego Maradonna.

This is from a guy at CNNSI

Diego Maradona
A drug-addled, blubber-saddled bloviator, he somehow remains a larger-than-life figure in Argentina on the order of Evita. Upon resurfacing there in November for his farewell match, El Diego reached new depths of anti-Americanism, presumably acquired while living the past two years in Cuba with pal Fidel Castro. Among other things, Maradona: 1) wore a black turban in a show of support for the Taliban; 2) appeared in a magazine donning an Osama bin Laden mask; and 3) asked reporters, "How can we talk about violence in soccer when the Americans are bombing Afghanistan?" On cue, nearly 60,000 Argentines filled a stadium to honor this nut job a few days later.

Ronaldo's been electric the last couple of weeks. Just because he's getting the odd muscle strain doesn't mean he'll be laboured down by injuries for the rest of his career. After being out for so long, muscle strains are to be expected until the player adjusts to the pace and reaches full fitness.

Nice spelling sunshine.

The thought of a HESKEY/ANELKA partnership would send the fear of god to any manager.

The S.O.B. Owen, without him Liverpool might be relegated. Some one, something should detache them ;)

Maybe now that Cole has gone, Fergie should put in a bid. Starting with 18 million, say. ;)

There are too many players to fear when on form. Rivaldo would probably be top of that list, but others like Zidane, Romario (is he still playing?) and Ronaldo wouldn't be far behind.
