Which of our coaching staff are not up to scratch?

44 scouts and 10 physios/sports scientists and this is the result!

I blame Gaag for being too similar to Hag.

My view our current coaches are probably good but we don't have players with a technical skillset to deliver what we need.

Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire are technically limited, with Shaw/Reguilon/Martinez more capable to execute the required philosophy.

Mount I think suits the style theorteically that we associate with that Ajax structure. But Rashford is extremely limited, and Bruno is probably limited too. I think this conundrum is a mixture of Ten Hag's fault, and the boards.

Are Dunk, Milner and Veltman really so much better technically than those? They play out from the back comfortably.

Milner is very good technically, he just doesnt have the legs as much. And Estupinian/Lamptey/Veltman I'd argue are technically stronger players. Dunk is technically fine but slow, probably a close Maguire comparison, but I'd favour Dunk on confidence.

Yeah and remember everyone frothing over Van Hecke when Brighton schooled us and then he's proceded to also play Webster, Igor and others next to Dunk and they still manage to generally play the same way. Same thing in midfield. Is Dahoud, Gross, Baleba etc really that much better from a technical stand point than the options that we have to put out there? And if they are, why is he not prioritizing signing these players who could all be had for sub 30 million?

Are you serious? How can outsiders like us know who does what, and who is not good enough?

We can only judge the coaching team base on performance and result.

When half of the squad are injured during 1st month of season, I can definitely say whoever in charge of fitness, training, and physical preparation, is worse than high school standard. When the other half is so poor on fitness, whoever in charge of accommodation and security must have slept on his/her job. Too many parties in US? US tour is not even waste of time, probably counter-productive.

The entire scouting team is rubbish, base on what we have recruited in past 6-8 years, particularly on those <50m

You'd think McKenna and Carrick doing well would stop people mindlessly criticizing the coaching staff

We did this thread 3 years ago with everyone crying about jobs for the boys. Turns out McKenna and Carrick are two of the best young coaches in the country.

Benni McCarty should have been working on Rashford’s basic ability instead of his confidence.
Okay I’ll go with psychologist (if I may) then because only they know what foolishness they’ve been putting in the heads of this lot.

In my humble opinion, none of them are worth a dime except for Mitchell van der Gaag, who unfortunately, will likely be stolen from us by Ajax.

@horsechoker another example of answering a question with another question

This, it's pretty clear were the problems originated.
