That moment when they can't or won't catch the ball, it requires the use of the fist. But who is the master of this niche skill?

Question really is.

When it comes to fisting, is it better to go with one fist or two?

I always felt like I had been fisted after watching de Gea beyond the 2018 World Cup, so I think if you can do that to someone without being in their physical presence then you have to be pretty good.

Wait, we're talking about what?

Fisting is never optimal because you need a receiver to do it effectively.

I prefer the keepers with sticky palms. They can handle their business solo

When it comes to fisting, I’ve always felt the best technique as a goalkeeper might be to remove the gloves so you can really get your fist up in there to get decent some decent contact.

It’s always so slippery and wet in this country especially during autumn and winter and it can’t be fun trying to do it with those massive gloves on, though I suppose they may provide decent protection from catching something funny instead of the ball.

Fisting gets a bum rap do to incidents like Schumacher vs. Battiston, but is it really better to just sit back and absorb the pressure like a Quim or Areola would?
