I really think that Ole is a great player but up to now I haven't been very much "satisfied" with his partnership with Ruud.

Ole is a lethal player (he's proved it so many times) when he's a super sub.

On the other hand, Ruud needs a partner like Ronaldinho, someone who can pass him perfect balls.

Alex has this in mind too, but I really can't find him buying a new striker...

Hope that Forlan gets the spark that everyone is waiting for...

60 goals between them last season

with the stories of jari litmanen being unhappy at liverpool, think theres a chance we might try to take him off the poo hands? he'd be a raging success in our side i happen to think.

Litmanen...

There's a chance we might not sign him. FFS, people need to forget about new-signings for ten minutes, it'll suprise them how fulfilling it is ;)

There was a similiar post on the United forum, so please allow me to state what I stated on the other post :

Ole/Ruud started a total of 19 games together in all tourneys for the season 2001/2002.

They couldn't have got off to a worser start than at Anfield where United lost, what was to be FOR THE ONLY TIME whenever the pair started, 1-3. ( Ole was taken off in the 57th minute! And who cud forget the Barthez howler? )

United subsequently tasted 15 victories in the balance 18 games, failing to win only 3 times - drawing against Derby away( 2-2 ), Bayern at home 0-0 ( inconsequential match ), & Leverkusen at home 2-2 ( where both Ole & Ruud scored! )

United lost a total of 9 times in the EPL - of which the Ole/Ruud partnership contributed to only one!

When the duo started in Europe, United NEVER LOST!!!

Litmanen is a scouse fan i dont think he will sign for their biggest rivals.

You're right, blythy should be banned from the transfer forum ;)

I often wondered why I liked Ole. Nice to have a scouse turncoat going well. ;)

Have you all met my deputy? :D

Litmanen would be perfect for that link role with Ruud. Another temporary stop gap would be Di Canio, but that seems to have gone flat and Gudjohnsen that would be a fantastic signing, but to be honest with you I really don't know where we stand on the striker front!

Do you really think that Litmanen will do the job? Common guys, he sucks...

He'll be a nightmare for Man Utd... I sense it.

I just can't think about the possibility for him to play with us, he's a poo. Better get giggsy upfront?!?

Why not trying some new kids from our own school?

What do you think guys?

I totally agree, in fact I am only asking questions about his partnership and not his ability. He's a finisher, just like Ruud. Maybe the best thing to do is to play him upfront at the same level with Ruud?!?

With Cole and Yorke now the main pair at Blackburn, where does that leave Jansen?

Cole and Yorke are both nearing pensionable age. Jansen will be the long term future of Blackburn. Indeed if he was fit I wouldn't bank on Yorke and Cole being the first choice partnership week in, week out anyway.

Any news when he is back? I'd heard the accident was "minor" and he'd just miss preseason, but read somewhere recently he wouldn't be back before Christmas!

No we shouldn't. He was getting older and we had to cash in. He did well for us but could've done a lot better. Could you see him and Forlan up front together, no one in the stands would be safe! ;)

I'd prefer Cole playing with Ole/RVN than Forlan, but that's the way it goes... hope that Forlan gets the spark that all of us are expecting from him... :(
