I miss times when most of what you read about the players and the manager in Manchester United were derived from feats on the field. When the mouth were mostly shut, and the feet did the talking.
I feel we are in an era where members of our team act like overblown ego-bubbles.
I don't need all the fuzz in the media about who said this and that. And Becks gf or haircut is as interesting as my neighbour's eventual stamp-collection. I can't really tell the difference anymore between a silly biography written by an ex-famous Hollywood wanna-be-star, and our own trusted's need to sell this and that.
"The higher they get, the higher they fall." I feel we deserve a good beating. We are not the best team anymore, except perhaps in Manchester. We should be challengers to the title. We should be humble and hungry. But we don't see our players act like we are just that. We act as if we still have something to defend. We don't have anything to defend. We have something to attack. We should be blood-thirsty and devoted now. Focused. On the field. On the opposition.
Not in our own mirror. There's nothing to see there, so stop looking, you so-called stars.
