When will we concede a "beach ball" goal

In fairness, how often do you see a direct goal from a corner?

We've conceded 2 in 2 weeks. Is that not "beach-bally" enough?

In the VAR era the beach ball goal would have been ruled out, yet another reason why it is the miserable enemy of football.

There were like 3 a year or two ago all scored by Douglas Luiz in the space of a few weeks, with one notably going in against Arsenal. Maybe the use of that humiliation as an educator is why they're now so good at set pieces?

I expect that, a year from now, we'll be twice as good as Arsenal at corners. Fully expect.

Not sure about that, I always thought if the ball hits any foreign object on the field of play, it's still play-on. Open to correction though!

Believe under the rules the beach ball should have been ruled an 'outside agent', same as if a streaker came on and hit the ball into the net, and it should've been no goal and a drop ball.

Thank God we got the funnier outcome.
