When did we become a Counter attacking side?

When we are playing our third choice midfield against the 2nd best midfield in the league apparently.

Well we bloody well can't attack at the same time as the opponent now can we

Nothing wrong with counter attack, but why the hell have we started this long ball crap. Our defence are starting to boot up the pitch all the time now.

It really sucks.

It's because we have no midfield.

It's because Fletcher actually plays the long ball better than he does the short pass, and when O'Shea is in midfield he never wants the ball so Rio and Brown have no choice but to boot it forward if they aren't playing it out wide to the fullbacks.

True, it does suck. I hate that kind of football, and we're actually very poor at it. To be fair, we've only been doing it a lot since Scholes has gotten that knock on his head - there's no one in the midfield who is actually a good passer of the ball.

I didn't really mind us playing a counter attacking game last night, considering our midfield situation. Unless we get better midfielders, we might have to continue playing like this in every game. 3 Points and I'm not going to complaining.

since Carlos Queiroz is our assistant Manager
