maybe because if he resigns the federation won`t have to pay him all the contract?

he`l lose money, but he`ll be paid ASAP
the other way he may have to go to court,
or the firing statement to the press will be too hard on him and he will find hard to get hired by another club
or it will show the other teams that if they hire him and he`s no good, he wont resing so they`ll have to pay him all the contract

He's a good coach not a good manager. England need to plan for 2011 world cup like New Zealand did for 07 WC(if they win which they will) in 03 New Zealand were average and now look.
