Whats success?

1 CL winners and nothing else.
2 Premiership nought else
3 F.A Cup nought else.
4 League Cup nought else

Any of them can be regarded as success. It just depends which team you are talking about. Say, we won the FA Cup and nothing else this season, it would be seen as a success - but we expect more. If Charlton or 'Boro for example, won the league cup, it would be a success for them.

In terms of what I'd regard as success for this season; either the league or the CL.

number 2.

Reasons:

1)Its the best way to define the best team in England

2) It drives Liverpool and Arsenal fans nuts

i'm with keano when he says that stam said the premiership was the priority.keano said that he chose the wrong thing. <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Yeah,Premiership first,then CL,then F.A Cup lastly.

As long as we get a Champions League spot next year, thats priority.

Would you settle for seventeenth in the prem? I might if those three went down. Give us the Champions League and I'd definitely be tempted. :)

For United:-
Winning the Champions League is the ultimate.

Winning the premiership is now the expected.

Failing to win either is a poor season even if we win the FA and Worthington Cups, and the EUFA (consolation for not being in the CL) Cup. I think it's called the plastic treble.

This is how high Fergie and the lads have raised expectations. These are great times for us.

Regain the PL title should be the first priorty for us. Finishing below Arsenal and Liverpool is a horrible feeling, which I think no United fan will want to bear again.

To be honest I'll go with Keano all the way. The Champions League is what we should go for every single year. Hard facts: Winning the Premier League just gets us a shot at the European Cup. There's no point focusing on the League and not being Kings of Europe.

Besides, winning it a couple more times would shut up all those smarmy scousers... <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

That's been the problem recently with too many players, fans, etc. Sir Matt had it right, there's no point being the big fish in the small pond, we need to be the biggest goddamn monster in the ocean.

Look at Real Madrid. They consider winning the league something to be gotten out of the way before their assault on the European Cup. That's the way we should do it too.

It has to be the Champs League, I'd be delighted with the season even if we finished 17th, knocked out in the first round in the FA and Beer Cups, but end up beating Real (Ronaldo et al) at OT come May.

Who put the ball into the Spanish net?

What price another winner from Ole?

We'll do the treble again this season, beleive me... we have the chance of our life to win the champions league at OT.

Common guys...

Yeah, totally agree i feel the Champions League is coming home this year.

Premiership i feel we will push Newcastle all the way.
