What is going on at OT, do you think teams are finally sussing us out and beginning to learn to play against us, we seem to attack and then get to the last third and it breaks down.
Do you think our will and desire to succeed to be the best has finally gone and that is what it is. Fergie needs to sort it out, shake it up a bit, and unfortunatley i don't think Mr Forlan is really a united type player. Keep supporting the lads we will sort it eventually and become champions once again. Leeds Saturday is massive to the club, supporters and the players.

Keep The Faith

If people could stop looking at Forlan as a striker, and start looking at him as a footballer, they would see that as a team member, he's excellent.

Whether or not he will turn into a prolific goal-scorer, time will tell - but he has every other attribute. He's quick, he's creative, and he works hard.

Sounds just like heskey
:)

yeah i agree with you but he just needs a good run in the team, given a chance i suppose.

Do you think were up for the title again ? We need to perform against the big teams this season i.e. scum scousers, french national team (arsenal) Leeds etc

On paper we have an excellent team. But the squad is thin on the ground.

If we can stay injury free, and get Neville, Scholes and Keane back asap, we should have a chance of something.

But tbh, I don't know.

United players must realise that they're no longer a team others fear - Arsenal has taken over that mantel, I'm afraid.

They must now work bloody hard & perform at the level they're capable of, & not get distracted by shooting their mouths off to the press i.e. let their feet do the talking.

Fergie's big mistake was holding on to a successful squad for far too long without bringing in freshness & competition that accompany new players - complacency ( thinking they're the best ), lack of motivation ( most of the players having won almost everything ), staleness & lack of competition for places ( Barthez, Becks, Giggs, & now Ruud know, in the back of their minds, that they'll hardly be dropped ).

In 2000 Fergie bought only Barthez, even after the team had failed to match the treble team in terms of success, & with 2 of 4 signings meant as Schemeichel's replacement i.e. Bosnich & Taibi, & with only Silvestre strengthening the team !

Last season, he bought 5 players, but 4 as replacements ( Ruud for Sheri, Carroll for van der Gouw, Blanc for Stam & Forlan for Dwight ) with only Veron to supposedly strengthen the team.

This season? Only Rio!

Teams like Arsenal & Liverpool, in the meantime are strengthening their teams with players of International stanard like Silva & Diouff, amongst others.

I think if Fergie had sold the neville sisters for whatever you could get, and Giggs at £25mil 2 seasons ago when they still had good reps and the game was richer, you would be laughing now. When Fergie got rid of Keane, Hughes, Bruce, Kanchelskis etc, everyone thought it was over. To save your team now, you need a change of that proportion. Only this time, without any decent youngsters. I think we will see how good a coach Fergie is over the next 3 years whilst he tries to rebuild a squad, and catch up with Arse and keep up with us (Liverpool)

the problem at ot now is that utd are going through the same spell as our neighbours..liverpool did in early 90's.late 80's.

Man Utd have had thier fun..dalglish then seen the changes happening...and aborted the sinking ship.

fergusion thinking that he can change things..were dalgish..couldnt..was a wrong..move and its showing now at ot.

veron a waste of money...even now brian robson is claiming that veron has to produce the goods..14 months..on. also i beleive..were fergie went wront utds defence started to show signs of cracks 2 seasons ago fergie..done nothing and stuck with same back 4..with stam gone.

if mr fergusion thinks that by spending 130 million will help...is chasing a forlan conclusion.

no matter how much money he spends utd have had thier day...it will be proved when no silverware..this season again.

i think mr ferguson should have left when he had chance and given a fresh face a new start.

but alls not lost i beleivethe new manager is just around the corner..waiting to come in...?

martin o'neill...he wont stay at celtic much longer.

The whining and 'what fergie should do' brigade are becoming a bit grating.

Fact: Fergie is going nowhere.

Fact: There will be no new players. (get over it)

Fact: Winning the PL is a very hard thing to do

Fact: Sir Alex knows how to get a team going when things are bad. (Our run after our 6th defeat last season was awesome)

ETC

Let's see United have:
England's top defender - Rio Ferdinand
England's top midfield - David Beckham
Argentina's top midfielder - JSV
Last seasons top scorer and player of the year - RVN
and his sometimes partner OGS who combined were the top scorers in the CL
Add to that list - Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nikki Butt

Please don't compare what United are going through to Liverpool of the '90s or people won't take anything what you are saying seriously.

By the way, how much silverware did Liverpool win last season?

2 silverware mate..alex fergusons..whiskey decanter and verons usless silver boots?...lol

The dominant Liverpool side of the late 70s and early 80s won 4 european cups (when it was champions only, not also rans)...this united side has won one - and that was due to a tad fortunate last 5 minutes or so in Barcelona.

So United can have England's most overpriced and overhyped defender...they can have England's 'top' midfielder (who is actually steven gerrard, but never mind)....they can have Argentina's top waste-of-money midfielder...they can have the moldova captain for all i care....you can have every tom, dick or harry you like...

The fact is that trophies speak louder than big name 'star' players.

Teams who dominate for long periods win many trophies...it just so happens that the dominant Liverpool team won more than the dominant united team....what also strikes me is that during their period of domination, liverpool were also the dominant force in europe...
During united's dominant period, the dominant and best team in europe is real madrid...speaks volumes, IMO.

Livvie sometimes you just have to take the blinkers off and look at the full view.He will never be a United player IMO.How I would love to be proved wrong

Oh Dear! Forlan not UTD material, Veron never will be, RVN seen in Madrid in the summer, Beckham more concerned with celebrity, Keane being deported to Australia, Scholes in a personality crisis, Giggs just standing there taking the piss, Fergie lost the plot and yet to be tested as a coach, Arsenal so superb, unbeatable and the team of the century, Houllier a tactical genius etc. etc. etc. zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

We're finished, Nationwide for us! never won anything and never will. Not a hope in hell! I'd better stop ordering the prawn sarnies.
