Whats all the big deal with Rivaldo?

Yeeh, his good and produces some magical goals but..
Guyz if u live here in Spain you will understand just why Rivaldo is overrated. When we united fans judge him, we remember the game in Barcelona. That game I must admit was a brilliant one by him (if he still produced the same brilliance then we could call him the most threatening player) but nowadays he just isn´t the same Rivaldo. He looses so much of the ball and he even misses much more opportunities than you would expect from him.
Now I know you guyz may reflect on the Valencia game where he scored those two magical goals but that hardly reflected his perfomance through out the season. Rivaldo only appears in some games which is hardly enough for a player who is supposed to be known as THE BEST.
Please don´t get me wrong, Rivaldo is no bad player, infact he is a very good player but hardly is as good as people who do not watch him play regulary think. :D

Funny that a lot of those ppl who want Rivaldo in, currently bitch at Veron's "inconsistency". Speaking of inconsistency...

The poster (Raoul) did say when on form when he put forward Rivaldo.

Anyway, why didn't you put this in the original thread?

I believe the starter of this thread was going on about Rivaldo due to the "Which player do you fear the most ........" thread. I was answering him as to why people are putting forward Rivaldo instead of other players.
