or maybe he doesn't understand that Shitty could careless about his 'nice' acts. I don't think Blanc has more fans among the shitty now than he had before the game.

i think if ruud had gotten injured in front of shitty's goal Big Pete would have kicked him in the head.

Thats why Laurent's a classy person and Schmeichel, the greatest goalkeeper the world has ever seen, is, well, not.

agreed. although many would argue with us and say Big Pete would only do that just to buy the shitty's fans' hearts.. he did come out to say he felt bad for us after the game.. oh well.. all is over now, let's look forward to us putting 5-6 goals past Schmikes next year!

i was at OT when gary Buust broke his leg and i remember picking up the papers the next day to see pictures of Choccy holding his hand while he was on the ground. a gentleman and a scholar he was.

p.s. does anyone else miss 'Choccy's Diary'? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Didn't Peter run away from Buust?

actually, after the game when the crowd was hanging around the back waiting for the players to come out, Peter was signing my program and a girl behind me asked him if Buust was going to be ok. Scmikes thought it was me who asked so he just looked at me, shook his head and said very quietly, "No. I don't think so."
i'll never forget the look on his face. he was truly gutted. the whole atmos that day was really eery :(

Did you hear what Gordon Strachan said about David Buust when he'd anounced his retirement from football because of that injury? It was something like "It was such a shame that he got injured like that, but I don't think that he would have played many more games anyway. He always gave his all when he played even though he lacked ability". What a thing to say about someone who's just been forced out of the game by injury!

used to buy the United mag only to read that :D

It's a bit of a different situation. Buust had a compound fracture of his leg and never played again, this bloke had a bit of cramp.

Could you imagine Bryan Robson helping a city player with cramp during the derby match.
If we are going to find a picture that sums up our play on saturday this would be a pretty good one.

Fair play to the guy, there is nothing wrong with helping out opponents regardless of the colour of their shirt, its just being gentlemanly and i cant believe ppl are questioning why he would!
