Forlan needs to score a goal. And we need him to. Playing in midfield he might do it without the pressure of being expected to as a striker.

So let him play in Giggs place, because Giggsy needs a shake-up - he was very mediocre last night.

i really cant get my head round that we are going into this season weaker than last season

That's lucky. I can't. ;)

I think the reason Forlan hasnt scored a goal yet is that fact that he spends too much time in midfield looking for the ball or running down the wing...
Fergie should tell him to stay up top more, the more chances he'll get = a goal sooner or later..wont it? <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

But he wasn't originally put in midfield. If that's where he drifts off to, maybe he's more comfortable with it.

but you know what i mean, after last season i thought it would be tightend up and the squad would be deeper but now we are weaker with no decent back up

would you be happy with p.nev for 2 months at rightback?

I was merely being facetious because you put "can" instead of "can't".

Yeah, I don't think that's a bad idea (both points above). And I think that team is strong enough for us to win fairly comfortably. I can't really see Fergie benching Giggs for Forlan, though.
