What happens to Bowyer now then?

Has there been any other interest in him?

The legal fees he owes Leeds must have been a contributary factor in the deal falling through...any other club would have the same problems..

It's more likely to be the new court case.

I'm not so sure..

The civil case only broke yesterday...we've been in talks with Bowyer all week...the fact that his commitment to Liverpool has been called into question suggests to me that he was holding out for a big pay out..

Oh well, him and the Dirties can sort it now...

Hopefully he will rot in hell.

Most Leeds fans would love to play him in the reserves until his Bosman as he'll leave then anyway.

Most likely Leeds will play him next season and put up with more transfer speculation and then he'll piss off.

I think it's hillarious he just got shafter by Liverpool the same way he shafted Leeds! So much for the papers all talking about his redemption.

I assume Mr. R is going to foot the bill for this court case as well <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Do you think so?

I don't think you can afford to leave a quality player in the reserves to prove a point..

I doubt anyone else will come in for him, especially with the civil action against him, and him being blatantly too greedy.

is bowyer the daftest footballer of all time? mthinks so...how the hell is he going to go back to leeds now? of course, the sheep-shaggers will probably convince themsleves he never wanted to go in the first place.

Maybe there is some truth in that Bowyer was in two minds about the deal.

<img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> will have known all along about the civil case being imminent so I can't see that being the problem. He was due to sign tomorrow so it is something that happened in the last day or so.

I for one hope he gets his act together and pledges his future to Leeds....whatever his off the field situation is he is still a great player and one that I would rather have playing for us than against us.

Or far more likely that we were unwilling to pay for his legal fees..

Tho I can why you'd try to cling to the idea that he was in 2 minds about leaving your forward moving club...

...oh well, he's back to being their problem now. houllier probably has something else lined up (ala anelka/diouf).

I can't believe that £850k was going to scupper a £9m deal.

The second part of your post was not in English.

it's not only 850K...it's that plus the potentially larger fees from eth civil trial. maybe they could take up a collection for him at eland road, or perhaps even arrange a testamonial for all the loyal years of service he has put in at the club. maybe he can invite ex-leeds legens like rio ferdinand to attend, you know, raise the profile a bit.

I can

We're clearly not going to be dictated to re what we pay for...

Risdale can sort out Dirty Bowyer's cash now that he's returned to a club he wants to leave..

I've always respected Houllier, and I think he's a credit to Liverpool and football.

Considering that Bowyer could have been an asset to the Liverpool squad, for Houllier to pull out of the deal shows that he has real character and a good sense of values.

Excuse me?

Did I rant, or shout? I think not.

I leave that to Leeds fans. :D

Sorry abot the last one. I was going to say that I doubt if Bowyer has got the brains to have one mind, nevermind two! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />
