What forwards would want to play for United? (Currently)

So clearly this sounds ridiculous but my point is as follows:
Under Van Gaal there have been no forwards that have performed well at the club. None. Nada. Zilch. That's not a coincidence is it? That's down to the straight jacket that is immidiately strapped onto them as soon as they walk through the gates at OT.
So if you're a forward, even a fairly average Europe league level forward, then the only reason you would currently come to the club is the money. So what chance do we have of getting any decent players through the gates at the moment? I think that LVG has now become a hindrance to getting top draw attackers and I do not believe we will land any World Class targets even in the Summer unless there is change at the top.
 
Top notch ones that we need won't come near us. If LvG stays Woodward is going to have a rough summer trying to sign his galaticos.

World class players want CL football and league titles, or at least to be part of a team that can challenge for them. Even if Bale were homesick and wanted to leave Madrid, I couldn't see him coming here and buying into Van Gaal's philosophy.

It's a good theory except that we already got di maria falcao depay (who chose over PSG) Martial. I think you'll find we can still attract 'attackers' but we can't attract neymar etc, but neither can anyone else
 
Emile Heskey actually wouldn't be a bad shout at the minute. Someone give him a call.

Does Berbatov still play?

What's Torres doing at the minute? He's due a run of form.
 
Embolo, Lukaku, Fekir, Griezmann, Kane, Berardi

One or two of those.
 
I can't see many joining unless they're paid ridiculous amounts.

Even the lesser players (Mane, Mahrez etc.) would demand hefty wages.
 
Which attacker wouldn't want to play for us?

We pay huge wages and it's not like there will be huge expectations placed on them. It's gotten to the point now that if we signed Neymar, I still wouldn't expect us to do much better because of the philosophy.
