is start all over again.

Sell - Barthez, Blanc, Veron, Forlan, Silvestre, Brown and the Nevilles.

Keep - RVN, Giggs, Scholes, Keane (discipline him though) Beckham, Ferdinand and Solskjaer.

Build on that back-bone by buying players like, Mexes, Boumsong, Djibril Cisse etc.

Ideally, I think all Man Utd fans would like to see this sort of thing happen, but I'm sorry to say I think Ferguson is too British!

Look at the top 2 teams in England - Arsenal and Liverpool. they are both run by French managers, they both have French players like Pires, Henry, Cheyrou, Traore etc. It's like they are looking in at England, whereas Ferguson is looking out at Europe.

It must be said that France and the continental countries are producing top young players, England isn't! It is also easier for Wenger and Houllier to charm young French lads into playing for their teams, Ferguson tried with Mexes but it didn't work!

I mean if you were Phillipe Mexes, and AF came up to you looking slightly drunk (I'm sorry it's the truth) and you saw the way he is so strict in training, and he tried to charm you by sending you Xmas cards, you probably wouldn't go to his club.

But if Wenger/Houllier came up to you looking intelligent, calm, assured, you would go to thm surely!

What do you think? Is it a silly theory??

Why can´t I get this post right? I must have been to abusive towards those two french twats, but the fact is that SAF has won a lot more than those french c***s

Why can´t I quote the dipper? Anyway, SAF has won a lot more than the two c***s you mention and I really want the majority of MU-players to be british

Yes of course, but if you look back at Man Utd's strongest periods they've had young British players like, Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Cole, Keane (I'm counting him as practically British), Gary Neville etc.

Now they're older, Cole's moved on, you could argue that a couple are past it, Keane's getting bans and injuries etc.

Whilst at Arsenal Henry, Pires, Vieira have all hit their peak, and at liverpool Baros, Traore, Cheyrou, Diouf etc. are stars of the future. Maybe this is why Man Utd aren't doing great, and it will be hard for AF to turn things around.

i've gotta say i haven't seen many of the foreign transfer prospects, but one player i have seen a bit of is Mexes and i reckon with the right coaching he could be a good buy.
As for starting all over again, its a bit drastic. We're not that bad, i think its mainly a confidence thing. If we can get on a roll the confidence will come back and you'll see a completely different side from the one that struggled to break down a very defensive Villa side.
This team is reaching its peak, most of the players are under 30, its easy to forget that fact because many of the players established themselves at such a young age.

Yes, but I do think you need to get rid of a few players. Barthez for one, you don't want to be like Arsenal, good team but bad keeper! And Blanc, if you replaced them with good players I'd begin to worry a lot!

Oh yeah? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

you're pathetic man.. just because poo are winning out of luck - and nothing to do with performance - you think you can criticize our players..

tell you what, dipper, our players - the ones you are criticizing - have won more trophies than all of yours combined. this experience will get us places. and this lack of experience will get you a big slump in December. sucker.

It must be 50 years since Houllier last came up to anyone looking intelligent, calm, or assured.

<img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" /> calm and assured <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

You say periods not period so I assume you mean several strong periods. The players you mention are all from the same period and succeeded any equally strong side. Our previous strong side (late sixties) were not young, although the lot before (Munich) were.

As a Liverpool fan you should be more worried your own performances for the next six months. Past experience is early season promise followed by a bin dip (sorry, big dip) in form and hope for next season. So far there is nothing to say this season wont be different.

No they wouldn't.

And I think your theory is <img src="graemlins/houllier.gif" border="0" alt="[Houllier]" />

It is bad enough scousers and ABU's peddling this sort of crap about SAF but when United fans (allegedly anyway) start spouting it I begin to despair.

Fair enough, but I'm only criticising two of your plyers, i would never criticise players in your team I admire, like RVN, Scholes, Giggs etc.

Ok, I never thought I'd get this sort of response. All I'm saying is that i think you need a foreign manager to succeed ferguson. Of course I'm worried about Liverpool lack of experience can always hinder a team. But lighten up, I'm not insulting you here, just putting a point across!
