the pass and move free flowing counter attack football we used to play?

what the hell is long ball hit and hope?

if you know where its gone please phone crimestoppers on *********

Also if youve seen the real ryan giggs, he disapeared On May the 21st 1999, Ryan was passionate about man united, put 110% in everytime and ripped through defences. He seems to be of abducted and replaced by a lazy, over-paid snail of a player. If youve seen the real ryan giggs, please call the number below. a Reward of the premiership crown is up for grabs.

:(

The players does NOT deserve their wages with a performance like this! Disgrace-like football!

i thought united played without 'hunger' or urgency...which was surprising, especially after the Blackburn defeat. We didn't really get about them, the way we should have....it was like we expected to win..

Boro gave us enough space in the first half...we should have done alot better with it... they got their goal and defender very well after... Boro aren't pretty to watch, infact tis like watching longballpool. <img src="graemlins/yawn.gif" border="0" alt="[Yawn]" /> ...dunno if i want Steve Mac as our manager TBH, it may work for Boro, but we expect attacking football at united.... so its either O'neil(played great football, even with limited resources - much more limited than Boro's!) or Moyes (SAF mark 2 IMO) for me, whenever SAF decides to call it a day.

anyway, we should have had atleast one pen....and macaroni was in an offside position, leading upto the to the third goal.

infact a few decisions went against us...having said that, we have only ourselves to blame.

In McLaren's defence, I think he's just trying to get as many points as he can with the resources he has. He started by building a good solid defence last year and this year has added some offensive punch to the team. I think he's slowly getting there. I would guess that in a couple year's time, his team will be playing much more attractive football.

Have to agree with you that that type of football isn't very pretty to watch though. I was thinking today that we ARE really lucky to follow a team like United.

Agree with you about Moyes. He does seem like a young, hungry SAF to me. Just hope that when Fergie does decide to retire that the board will consider young managers like him and McLaren and not stick to their rigid formula of judging candidates simply based on the silverware they've won.

My team for today would have been -

Barthez, Neville G, Brown, O'Shea, Neville P, Solskjaer, Scholes, Veron, Keane, Giggs, and Ruud. With half an hour to go, I would have brought Rio on for a runout. As a central defender, not a forward.

Halfway thru I would have brought on either Forlan or Richardson for Giggs if necessary. Ryan didn't have a good game, but the weak link was Blanc imo. I think he makes the defence around him nervous, and that spreads forward thru the team.

Agree. McClaren is only doing the job with the resource he have. Insist at playing beautiful, sexy football in an average PL team is foolish.

I think it's a bit too hard on Blanc. He had a few very good interception and was very compose at the back. I agree we really miss Silverstre's pace and aggressive, but if he was unavailable fergie had no choice but to play Blanc.

sexy football? who said that?

Everton hardly play sexy football...but i'd rather watch them....

so, out of the two which team has the better players? on paper i'd say Boro... so how has Moyes turned Everton from relegation candidates into a top five PL side...in the space of a season? Everton were a shambles......until Moyes took over, a manager who SAF holds in the highest regard...

Did O'neil have the resourses which Boro have had over the past few years? NO. His Leicester side played some great attacking football...and didn't rely on putting 10 men behind the ball...and hitting teams on the break.

that isn't football.....tis liverpools style of play.... ie anti football.

great, Boro are getting results....but Mac has to show that he can get Boro playing attacking football at home.. if he wants the OT seat.

I agree, plus it was his first full game back....and overall he did ok...

TBH i thought O'shea should have done alot better prior to both goals... its the third time i've seen him getting out fought.. he did the same against Bayer Lever n'all.. leading to a goal.

the lad is class, no doubt...but he needs to address this problem... bit like Wes has successfully done.

Agree. Experience is very important to a defender. See how Brown progressed thru these two years and all the critizes he got. Against Boro he was our best defender again. O'Shea never lacks class. He only need to get more experience and learn from mistakes, just like Wes did.
