...England crash out early in the WC, Eriksson is fired/resigns, Fergie leaves United, and Sven is signed as manager?

Or would Fergie hire Sven as assistant, then walk away after winning the CL at Old Trafford?

Well, Erikson will not be fired even if England crash out in the group stage in the WC. I remembered Bobby Robson's England lost all the three matches in Euro88 but was still not fired. It seems the English have especially hugh tolerence to their national manager, so I don't think Erikson need to have any fear to get fired, as long as he doesn't declare that the failure in this WC is because they have comitted a sin in their previous life.
