Last time we played them we were in the Championship and they got a record crowd for their stadium.

Rain nearly postponed the match but the locals did a big clean up and we were able to play, which gave us this memorable scene:

Russo 0-1! Another assist for Batlle.

Le Tissier's progressive passing has added so much to our game.

Russo opens the scoring. Good positioning from Alessia, clips the ball in. Goalkeeper out of position, I guess expecting the ball to be played across.

Match is live on BBC red button and BBC iPlayer in the UK. Also available on FAPlayer in some countries.

We're playing well, showing no complacency. The early goal was a big one to settle us down, looks like and I hope we get the second before the break.

Looks like Naalsund is forced to come off with a muscle injury. She's devastated, feel so bad for her :(

HT 0-1

I like how we're patient in possession after the home side getting some pressure in our box. But there's a fine line between patience and slow and at times I wish we were a bit more aggressive. Nothing major to complain about that half though and it's probably a conscious decision to move the ball and the opponent in low blocks to find openings. With a bit better decision-making in the final third we could be two or three nil up.

HT United leading 1-0. Goal has been recorded as an OG - a deflection of Russo's attempt.

Its weird to hear the Match of the Day theme at a match!!!

Half expecting Jimmy, Des or Lineker to show up.

Interesting name for the Lewes stadium -- The Dripping Pan. :nervous: Some former medieval torture centre?

Vilde Boe Risa scores off Ona Batlle cross. Nice goal. 2-0

Great goal. Fantastic cross from Batlle. Russo, Toone and Earls always get the headlines, but Ona is arguably our most talented and important player. It’s vital that we keep her.

Hopefully this finally forces them to start pressing and coming out of that low block. Nice goal indeed, and another assist for Batlle.

Oops moment for Mary Earps - under pressure and mishits a clearance. Lewes scores from the edge of the box ,1-2

I tend to agree with that. I'd say Earps is maybe on the same level with her. I'm afraid there's no chance we could keep Ona though.

Parris misses one chance but then takes one a minute later 3-1

FT and we win 3-1

We did make it look like hard work at times, but we got there.
