Or so you'd think from all the threads on here! This is one of the silliest stories so far this close season. Some hack decides since United have Nike as their sponsor, then obviously we'll sign Ronaldo cos he's Nike too. Let's have some more realistic transfer stories, like Rivaldo... ;) Considering we've released Johnsen because he's a sicknote, how did any of you think we'd sign the world's biggest and most expensive sicknote in history?

Ronaldo has always been rushed back before though and fecked up again, this time he appears to have waitedlong enough and is getting form back, he'll be one of the stars of the world cup.
I know we won't sign him which is fair enough, but to think people would'nt be glad we signed him (as some have said) is stupid, when fit he's the best player in the world and two of our best players came back from knee injurys

Are you saying that at the end of this last season he was the best player in the world?? Or are you judging him on how he was a few years ago when he hadn't had possible career ending injuries? If he shows the same form as before, then we can say he is that good, but not until. Injuries effect people differently, I personally think a large part of his game was his pace and I doubt he is as fast now as he was then. I remember Shearer's game took a real dip when injuries took his pace away from him, although he managed to develop other aspects of his game to remain a good player, if not the best as he once was.

That must be some crystal ball you have MW16. Care to tell me who's gonna win the 2.15 at Exeter. ;)
