We've beaten a top 6 team away from home

I think there was a stat before the game that it was 2021 or something? Ironically, was it vs City in that game where Shaw got the winner under Ole?

Either way, a great feeling once more.

Spurs 3-0 win in 21/22
Spurs 3-1 win and City 2-0 win in 20/21

Those were the last 3 I think.

Can we please play this City team every week?

Felt like the highest possession we've had against City in years.

Yeah the sort of stat that just reflects really poorly on Ten Hag, never beating a big team away. Huge for Amorim to break that jinx. Hope we can build on it.

Reminds me of the Fergie days when an away tie at a top 6 side was a difficult match that could go either way, rather than an automatic loss.

Everyone is beating City though.

True but this has in recent past been the sort of a game where City would whack us 5-0 and get inspired to start a run that will see them go unbeaten the rest of the season, lifting the title, while other contenders fumble under pressure and fall off. I'll take this win.

Moyes like stat that. I don't think he beat any of the big teams away from home in his entire stint at Everton.

There was a stat that city ain’t lost when KDB has started not sure if it’s just home games but that’s now gone. feck Citeh

True. I'm so jaded I'm afraid to get too excited. :o

It’s not just that we weren’t winning, we had four points out of a possible 45 points since that win in 15 away games against top 6 teams

So many stats reflect poorly on EtH, I mean the ones that were broken in a month.

Scoring 4 goals in a league, winning a game in Europe, Winning a PL game vs Top 6 team away from home.

Shows how poor we were, complete lack of tactical organization for years now.

Last time that happened, Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard were playing. Eric Bailly, Donny Van De Beek and Dean Henderson were on the bench (unsued subs), the Ipswich and Middlesbrough managers were in our dugout and Dele Alli was playing.

Jeez. Debbie Downer right here ;)

Everyone is beating City right now but United has been finding it quite hard to beat anyone for quite some time. This is big. Celebrate it!

Pep trying to pull his bald head off after that Nunes tackle for the penalty will forever be etched in my brain

Haha I'm definitely not a Debbie Downer. Just afraid to get to excited but I do believe times are changing for the better. I'm just being cautious ;)
I even wore my United hat today to show off on all my coworkers.

Beating one is one thing but being consistent is another. Let’s see if we can do the same against spurs Thursday night.

Against the traditional top 6 it was our last victory under Ole vs Spurs with Ronaldo, Cavani and Rashford scoring

Against top 6 finishing teams, I think it was Villa in February

Although the 4-3 loss vs Chelsea later on last season wasn't on ten Hag IMO. The players themselves and the referees completely screwed United that day. We should've won that game easily.

The 7-0 against Liverpool was one I just never got over. Not a bad performance from us initially or a good one from Liverpool. Just a massive collapse and clueless in game management. Regardless of what Ten Hag did in the cups, that was unforgivable.

Haha the PTSD is real. I feel ya. Next stop - top half of the table!

I think we played a back three then too from memory…

Wouldn't it be nice if we can get a win at Anfield. I wouldn't even mind just scoring a goal.
