Wes Out

It has been confirmed that Wes Brown has broken his ankle.

Wes went over awkwardly on his right ankle in the sixth minute of United's 1-0 Champions League defeat against Zalagaerszegi and was immediately replaced by Phil Neville.

Wes went for a scan on Thursday and it showed up a break in the bone.

Wes is expected to be out of action for around three months. It's the latest in a run of injuries for the England full-back, who ruptured his cruciate ligament in pre-season training three years ago.

Get well soon, Wes.

so unlucky for the lad

we do have to buy now

So we're stuck with Phil?

How long will it take for Gaz to be fully fit? Who will backup Silvestre in the meantime?

We need a two-footed fullback ASAP now.

BOLLOCKS!

F******CK!!!!! :( :( :(
The last bloody thing we need. How are we supposed to shore up our defence when 3 of our defenders and goalkeeper are injured!

So basically, our healthy defenders now consist of:

P Neville (right or left back)

O'Shea and Blanc (CB)

Silvestre (left back)

If any one of them gets injured during the West Brom match, we essentially have no cover (unless you count Danny Pugh). I guess there's always David May! (Does anyone know what his situation is?)

I've read that Escude can play left back or CB. Does anyone know if he can fill in on the right?

Well, Rio wasn't ruled out yet for Saturday and should be back afterwards even if he is.

Why does Wes insinst on going the full-way with everything, not one to do things by halves is he? ;) Bad news though, hopefully O'Shea can provide adequate cover, oh and Escude ;)

O'Shea CB
Blanc CB
Silvestre LB/CB
GNev RB/CB
PNev LB/RB

Escude? LB/RB/CB

We need this lad, sharpish!

Before the ZTE game, they sed Gary Neville is bak in training soon. Also on sky today it sed Rio is out of the saturday game.

don't panic guys....we did sign three defenders this summer , so we're covered.
thats why its great to be the richest club in the world , we sign players without hesitation.
and we didn't need to buy any either , yeah Johnsen & Irwin are no longer on our books but we've got P neville ........

....feck I'm frustrated

and strikers ...we're covered too . We've got 2 and Forlan. Real Madrid BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!

fecking broken ankle! It looked like nothing, how did that break his ankle? 3 months, unbelievable. How soon before Gary is back? It better not be long. Alex also said Giggs has a knock on his ankle and becks has lots of bumps and bruises - didn't sound too serious though.

According to Manutd.com he can play anywhere in defence, but he's primarily a left back.

Unfortunately, we'll probably have to cave into Rennes demands now. They'll know we're going to be absolutely desperate to sign him.

Almost certainly due to Sir Alex throwing the cusps and saucers around in the dressing room at half time and at the end of the match.....

However hard some of us are on the team, you can bet he was even harder!

Two footed full back, look no further than Candela @ Roma, would coast around £12m and would be diificult to get, so i suppose that probably is a none starter.

SAF was interested in him earlier on in the closed season apparently!
