If so, too late, he's gone to Lazio...
From Soccerage (amongst others):
02/06/2002. Lazio completed the deal that will take Argentinian left back Juan Pablo Sorin from Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro to Rome on Wednesday night with Sorin's - and Veron's - agent Gustavo Mascardi arranging an 8 million Euro fee.

Manchester United are believed to have an open mind regarding the creative Veron's future. Sources close to the club have persistently claimed that if Lazio offer the right money, they will let him go.

I rather hoped we would get him, he sounds very good. Not sure if he can play on the right as well or not, which I think would come higher priority than the left, pity nonetheless.

Well, it seems United have been linked to every player in the world. Christ, if United has a scout at a match, all 22 players are magically linked to United.

Seba's agent talking to Lazio had nowt to do with Seba going back. Can we finally put this behind us now?

A) You're right.

B) So you really expect the media to be reasonable and write the truth? Naa....

Veron will be linked with a move away from United until he actually leaves, in 5 to 8 years, and the Sun will then claim: We told you so!!
