No quotes, just a crap analysis and a vague reference to Italian media and a fee of 30m. Far too much for any player who turns 30 next year imo.

Would be a great swoop!

With 30mil I'd buy Ronaldhino and some other star player... :p

Fantastic player, so suited to the premier league, that I really dont know why we haven't gone for him in the past. The guy has the power, pace, position, great aerial ability and a sweet left foot (except when playing against south korea that is!) natural goal scoring ability, great box play, great scoring record from outside the box and indeed an all around high consistency of goal tallies.

But not for £30m (after all of that!) Not a cost effective buy, especially given the current state of the transfer market. Also his age, turning 30 nxt yr, we would be better off going for a younger talent, when spending that sort of cash, my vote goes to Cisse or Ronaldinho, in terms of who to bring in.

Situation is a bit like Laurent Blanc, a plyer who SAF i'm sure wishes he had signed @ an earlier age!!! Shame tho'

injury prone but does look impressively like a Italian dockworker. 30 mil? when crespo went for 17?

As if United would spend that much, in todays market, on a 30 year old. <img src="graemlins/nono.gif" border="0" alt="[No No]" />

I doubt the footy world will see any transfer fees over £30m for quite a while now tbh.

Maybe Ronaldinho or Cisse could command that amount, depending on the respective season they have this time around, but there aren't too many clubs who could afford to make that kind of outlay anymore.

It does bode well for United imo. Real have Raul and Ronaldo up-front, with Morientes and Portillo backing them up (so they are pretty much set), Barca aren't that well off atm according to reports, Bayern are cheap and Serie A is broke so the chances of Cisse or Ronaldinho coming to OT next season are pretty good imo.

The Transfer Forum is dead, long live the Transfer Forum!!!
