Here here. Not done till it's done.
Never count us out.

agreed, no matter what happens everyone knows were the best team in England and if we do happen to relinqusih our title its more because we threw it away rather than someone else being so good.
If the worst comes to the worst well lick our wounds and the title will be sweet next yr. Which in fairness would be a change.

Agree that this will make us more dangerous next season. If UTD lose out in the EPL this season then expect Alex to react a la end of '98 and significant signings to come in the summer.

However, it needs to be said that UTD have played poorly against the top teams this season. It's this that has cost us. I think the games against Leeds, Chelsea and the Arse will be crucial to deciding where the title ends up.

Whover wins the league is by definition the best team. Next season, well that's a different matter. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" /> <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

"they always score..." ;) <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

:p

I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air,
They fly so high,
Nearly reach the sky,
Then like my dreams
They fade and die.
Fortune's always hiding,
I've looked everywhere,
I'm forever blowing bubbles,
Pretty bubbles in the air.

I have another thought about this one. If we look back in the previous years we can find that the main reason for us to win the league is: we are very consistent and seldom throw away points that we should take. Several seasons ago, whenever we faced other title challengers (Arsenal and Chelsea, at that time) we didn't have obvious advantage. Last season we have one win one lost against Gunner and 2 lost against pool. Therefore the reason for us to lost the league (probably) this season is because we have thrown away 9 points AT HOME against Bolton, Boro and Westham -- we have lost too many points in matches where we should have cruise through.

But I agree with you that if we lost the league this season, it will just make us even more stronger and hungrier next season.

What makes you the best team in England. If it's based on what's been done in the past then, sorry, there is only one team you could credit that to. If its based on the current team then, surely the next PL champs would be. No?

Looking at the way you've built a case, you could infact make anyone to look like the 'Best' team

I think it's to do with loyalty and passion. And your own definition of the word "best".

I thought United were the best team in the country in the 80s. Not that successful, but to me, the best. Bit like your kids really - might not brilliant at school for instance, but they're still the best to you.

The point I'm making is if you base who the best team in England on all they have won in the past then it's LFC. If you base it on the current team then the PL champions would be, therefor the Mancs at the moment. But the post I answered to said even if they loose the PL this year everone knows they are still be best.

If Pool win the league this yr it'll be the same as the majority of their titles. they only win titles when other teams like Man Utd and Arsenal throw it away.
Pool are the vultures of English football in more ways than one. I wouldnt mind Pool as much if they won it playing entertaining football but the kick and rush shit deserves no respect.

Did i say they were lucky, try and keep up. I know you have difficulties thinking but if your going to hang around your going to have to pay attention ;)

I said youse normally win titles due to other teams incapabilites rather than Pools brilliance. For example who were your title rivals in the 80's? Everton
Utd & Arsenal have both dropped silly points this season and i cant imagine the eventual winners having that much points compared to the last couple of yrs.

Everton were decent in the 80's so that points daft..

We've dropped silly points like all the other challengers...you're sounding so bitter it hurts..
Its not our fault that you're not very good..
