Manchester United reserves continued their superb pre-season form with a resounding 9-1 win over Stalybridge Celtic last night.
In the first 26 minutes United went no more than eight minutes without a goal to go 4-1 up.
By half-time the Reds led 5-1 with goals from Bojan Djordjic, an own goal from Nathan Wharton, two goals from Kieran Richardson, and a strike from the in-form forward Daniel Nardiello.
The 19-year-old Nardiello completed his hat-trick in the 64th minute after grabbing a second just after the break to make the scoreline read 7-1.
Daniel Nardiello's strike partner Matty Williams, who scored a hat-trick himself in the 5-0 win over Altrincham earlier in the week, bagged two goals in six minutes to complete the 9-1 rout.
The reserves will be hoping they can continue their good form in tomorrow's fixture away to Barrow.
