Arsenal - The IMMortals.....Sounds very nice ( and
Must say you were up for it and absolutely sweated your bollocks off for it , you ran us ragged and fully deserved your win . The details ...dodgy first goal, are irrelevant you'd have got the goal anyway .

Of course I am dissapointed , (who would'nt be)
but fair play .

About the game , some days chances are fleeting and the course of events can hinge on almost anything ........for me ....it was before a ball was kicked , I find the exclusion of an 'up for it' Dennis Bergkamp a major blunder on Wenger's behalf .......inexplicable imo - I don't know what Arsene was thinking leaving him on the bench - our strongest creative force .

In the game itself Henry's missed chance was for me crucial I knew we'd not get another , even as he chested it down ready to shoot I could sense the enormity of the gift . For his best known reasons he tried to side foot it away .

Speculation for me , but allow me that .

Anyhow well done

Now the battle is really on

Well done for not posting a load of shite Jopub.

fair play to you, for not attempting to use the hand ball incident as an excuse for losing. For me, i thought your midfield din turned up. I dun remember seeing much of the punk (ljundberg that is). He and Pires were found wanting in getting stuck in.

Wiltord had an invisible game too. Din do much, I would fear Bergkamp more than Wiltord definitely.

Anyway, we won't be thinking we will win the league after this game, we still have to go to highbury, and it will be some fecking game.

:D

You're not bitter and a sore loser like Pie. Fair play to you.

I could make sense of it myself. And then why take off Wiltord for Berkamp. He should have thrown caution to wind and taken a defender off.

Have to agree with most of jopub`s comments. I think Arsene made a great tactical blunder doing what he did to Bergkamp. I can only see that as a rebuke to Dennis for being too ready to open up his mouth about how he should be playing all the time.

Managers will put a bigmouth back in his place and I feel that was Arsene`s motivation - showing Dennis who is the boss. Sir Alex has done that in the past to certain players. But it can backfire as it did on Arsenal.

As for the dishy Thierry Henry, whom I like very much (understatement there!), I have to agree with that ex France player who doesn`t like Gerard Houllier (I am not agreeing with his low opinion on Houllier - I am merely identifying him as best I can as I cannot remember his name.)

About Henry this ex France player has said that when the player is through on goal it should be the goalkeeper who is afraid but with Henry it is the other way - it is he who gets afraid. Henry lacks a killer instinct at times. I was bloody glad he did for the big game of course!

I was going to ask where you had got to Jopub - now I know why. :)

Strange how Jopub mentioned Ruud's use of his hand but not Keown's use of his fist...

It was, but he has spouted some absolute shit on here in the past.

Nice to see someone from the Arse camp actually watched the game, most of it seems to have passed Wenger by. Re Bergkamp, I was mildly concerned when I saw him getting off the bench, but when he came on he was as anonymous as the rest of your lot.
