Just an alternative angle on TTR's comments in another thread;

I think it's kind of obvious why Danny Webber's loan to Watford was only for a month. He is getting about 5 to 6 first team games under his belt in case when he comes back, he's the 4th striker.

Could it not be that we are in some way trying to lure Watford into bidding for Webber. They had him last year, and we're certainly impressed, there was talk of a perminant move, but it didn't happen.

By loaning him out for just a month, perhaps were temping them, giving them another chance to see what he can do for them.

Could work either way I guess...

Might pop along to Fratton Park this Saturday to see how he's doing when Watford play Portsmouth.

Webber scored the winner in the same fixture last season with a well taken effort. (won me £40 on the sweepstake too!)

He looked quick and skillful from what I saw of him then, against an admittedly very poor Portsmouth team.

I hope we dont sell him, he's a great prospect and if given the opportunity could go on to become a legend. He's the best I've seen comming through in the last few years (even better than Healy)

hence we r looking 4 a new striker, why don't fergie gives him a chance ?,,,,,what about the promissing winger Djoric ? is he still with the club ?

Djordjic is still at the club yes, I think he'll be off unless he performs well this season. Either Fergie will loose patience, or he will.
