Can't see the PS3's chip being able to support 3D Video.
Had they used Blu-Ray on the 360 however.....

IS it? I thought that the 3D support for the BluRay rather than 3D gaming was the new news and new in that it is actually confirmed rather than rumored. Not that I care TBH.

I dont know if you can buy them yet but they are definately in the hands of retailers as they have been demoing Ratatouille BD3D at my local PC World store the past few months.
3.50 firmware is up, you can now play BD movies in 3D.
Having problems installing it, as usual. Damn I need a new router badly.
Download it from your PC, stick it on a stick and install it from there.

You need to put it into a folder called PS3 and then under that a folder called UPDATE.
I put the PS3UPDAT.PUP into a folder called PS3, and that PS3 folder into a new folder called UPDATE, right?
Just did it, selected system update, via storage media, but it says No applicable data was found. Th stick gets recognized in the other PS3 music and video sections.
Hold on, I just changed it, the pup file into UPDATE, and update into PS3. It works now.

The PS3 recognizes the 3.50 update, but then when I proceed I need to agree to an December 2009 license agreement (?!)... Anyway, I didnt really bother to go through it, just went on and started downloading the file onto the hard drive.
- It then came up with an error number 8002F007 (Data is corrupt). I took the stick out, deleted the .pup file, downloaded it again, put it back into the PS3 and now it downloaded and installed completely
