Weaste help!!! PS3 YLOD

Weaste, or anyone else that knows a bit about ps3's please help my PS3 turned itself off this morning and won't turn back on. I've had a look on the internet and am pretty sure its got the yellow light of death. Now whats the best way of getting this fixed and are all my saved games lost forever?

First, you should make regular backups of your game saves. If it is the Yellow light, you will see a yellow light. The best option is always to send it back to Sony and ask them not to give you a refurb but return your machine.
