We have lost two of our best defenders due to injuries, I thought we might be able to push you and make a game of it on saturday, but with a weak defence we will now struggle.

I hope we give a good account of ourselves on saturday.

I hope pompey play well and make a real game of it, i'm sure they will. (although not too well) It'll be great experience for the Portsmouth players who have no premiership experience. If they keep their league form going we can look forward to playing them again next year as well.
 
Our priority is to get out of this league, we really don´t need a cup run as it will deflect us from our aim, so getting Utd in round three is a Final for us anyway, so if we go out we´re not really bothered. Hope we can play you on a regular basis as next season and thereafter.
