We need a 4th striker

Yes we really need one because when Ruud and Forlan is not up to it we got another option.
And if Cole & Yorke got the chances that Forlan is getting now maybe they will change they mind of leaving United.Nothing against the lad but week in week out he's getting chances and not scoring goals. The only player I can think of now is Anelka and believe you me he's gonna prove us all wrong this season at ManCity and next season one of the big clubs will go for him again.
Hope Fergie realise this before we don't get any silverware this season and starting playing 4-4-2 again because Ruud is struggeling up front alone.

Danny Webber can be recalled

I think we actually need a THIRD striker first before thinking about the fourth one.

Frankly speaking, Forlan have had more than enough time to prove his 7 mil price tag. I don't think he have that something special.

i agree with his point though. Forlan is NOT a striker. He might play well as a link up player but he cannot be relied upon to score us goals. He hasnt even scored regularly in the reserves ffs. We have 2 goalscorers (Ruud & Ole) who are both a bit off form & no-one to back them up. Considering we only have those 2, its no wonder Fergie prefers to play 4-4-1-1 as much.

i dont think Fergie has got full faith in him yet..

When will he have confidence then? as soon as he buys another striker?

Bring back Webber as he seems to be doing well. Let the youngsters have some chance and United may find that they need not pay ridiculous transfer fees for players that they want to buy. He could be another Alan Smith in the making. No point having the youth system but not trying them when you need to replace strangely tired players with fresh and energetic ones.

You can have 10 first class strikers but unless your midfield starts to produce they havn't got a hope.
You need to start from the back and work forward.
Our defence is looking stringer, next should be our midfield. We don't need to bring anyone in, the players just need a rocket up their arse. The strikers might have a chance if they had some decent service

but what about our midfield?

We should have got Gudjohnsen when he was going cheap.
Can't see anything wrong with putting Nardiello up front from the bencg. He'll be eager to impress and could nick one.

I totally agree.

Yes, there might be strikers out there who can work miracles, but not too many.

I've always attributed our goals success to the midfield, so likewise our goal failure.

That's not to say the strikers are blameless, having missed a few sitters between them, but generally, they need the midfield to create.
