So we lost in the manchester derby is that so disgraceful?
you would think so judging by the remarks in the match thread
Remember derby matches can always go either way
and are always good games.
So we lost to the MASSIVES dissapointing yes disgraceful NO
but then a lot of you folks cannot remember the last time shitty beat us
KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYING HIGH <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

I can remember all the way back here in the states. We as supporters have a right to be critical when it appears to most if not all of us that the effort wasnt up to the our legendary status. We are upset because if the effort or apparent lack of effort isnt there against CITY what will it be like against other teams.

So if we had won the effort would of been there?
the team did all they could to win the match but today it did not pay off Derby games are so unpredictable always have been always will be

How can losing a derby game be disgraceful?
feck sake if theres 4 matches UTD would want to win this season its the MASSIVES and poo they tried they failed dissapointing not DISGRACEFUL

In a derby game you must display full effort to battle for every ball. Look at how the Massives played and you will see what effort is. Football is a funny game you can be the better side and give full effort and still lose. My point is that some of us believe that some players who were the red of Manchester United were lacking in effort. Hell i could be wrong but i dont think i am. Losing while giving max effort is acceptable, losing with ones head down is not.

I watched the game city were undoubtably up for it but as the underdogs they would be and we were up for it

But don't we say something like this every week? the facts show how poor we've been, not just today. We've played 8 of the bottom 10, and have won only 2 of them, 1-0 against westbrom and 3-1 against charlton. To me thats too poor.

For a team with our talent representing the greatest club in the world against our bitterest rivals, at least one of them, that was a disgracefully inept performance. Its not just the defeat its the way we lost . The lack of spirit and fight with the performance of only one(Scholes) maybe two (Ole)of our highly paid world class stars coming anywhere near what is required of them. A disgrace it certainly was.
