A nicely won game against the Broncos!

The fact that Dallas lost was also a delight :D

Hmmm, when your All Pro Corner serves you the game on a silver platter with 4 minutes to go it might be wise to take advantage ... when you dont, theres a good chance youre gonna lose.

You could see this coming. Stopping to play after 2,5 quarters is going to come back and bite you in the ass sooner or later and yesterday was the day for the Broncos. This team needs to learn how to close games out.

Remember me bitching about the overall standard of officiating last week? There were a few questionable calls or non calls yesterday, but no excuses. Amani Toomer is quickly becoming my least liked player in the NFL. Two games at the Meadowlands vs Denver and 2 game winning catches in the last minute of the game.

I actually only saw the last 2 minutes or so (we didn't get coverage here in the D.C. area until the Bears-Ravens Shootout was over), but following the game online, I didn't think there was a chance in hell we would win.

In the long-run, I think you will be fine, though I am curious; which calls didn't go your way?

Shit! Great game played by the Chargers and Eagles, devastated when they blocked the FG and ran it back for a TD :(

Talking about blowing the game.

a) There were some plays where the O-Line got away with holding, especially on the drive that set up the first 4th quarter TD, where Warren was held by his arms and his jersey on his play.

b) On this play on our next drive

2-5-DEN38 (8:31) J.Plummer pass to A.Lelie pushed ob at NYG 34 for 28 yards (B.Alexander).
PENALTY on DEN-S.Alexander, Illegal Block Above the Waist, 10 yards, enforced at NYG 36. Offically, a reception for 26 yards.

Alexander didn´t even touch the defender. But I guess everyone who saw the Steelers/Chargers game knows how good a ref Triplette is.

The 10 yards would´ve come in handy on the FG attempt, especially as the FG would´ve won the game, making it a 2 score game to tie. But when Bailey serves you the game on a silver platter and you go 3 and out ......

I´d have been happy with splitting the games against the G-Men and the Eagles last week. A 6-2 record going into the bye would still give us a pretty good shot at the division and the playoffs.

I don't understand Dallas. They have dominated 5 of 7 games played but have given away wins to Seattle and Washington (and nearly let NY Giants steal a game they had no business to be within 20 points) and blew a chance to win at Oakland. Could be 6-1 (3-0 division, 5-0 NFC) and looking good for homefield advantage in January. But, these are the breaks...you get some, you don't get the others. Truly great teams manage to get most of them. Dallas is nowhere near great.

The team continues to be called for penalties. And the turnovers, and failure to capitalize on opponents turnovers, is costing the team. And that shit kicker  ...he got released today, according to local newspapers.

I am appalled at how the refs can be calling a shit game (horrible calls on both sides) and flag every marginal penalty and miss some obvious ones. None was bigger than on the Bledsoe INT late, the defender behind Terry Glenn blantantly reaches and grabs Glenn's jersey. Glenn falls down due to losing his balance as a result of the grab. Glenn was in position to tackle the intercepting DB and keep him to 10 yards or less on the return. Bullshit missed call. I can't say Seattle doesn't still go to OT and win, but to allow a player to grab a player from behind and force him to not have a chance to make a game saving play is total horseshit.

But I blame the Cowboys. They continue to feck up in the red zone, which is probably a result of Parcells and Payton's "careful" approach. They should have scored after the Williams interception that gave Dallas possession inside the Seattle 20. Score a TD, and ice the game. If Cortez makes that earlier FG attempt, and give credit to Romo for making a great placement after a high snap, then Brown's late FG ties the game at 13.

It's difficult being a Boys fan right now...but at least the team isn't staring another 5-11 season. This team is pretty good all-around and should get stronger as the season progresses. The defense is quickly looking pretty damn good. Shut down the top offense in the NFL two straight weeks, and completely stalled Shaun Alexander. That's 3 top RBs that Dallas has limited (Tomlinson, Portis, Alexander). If the offense can get it's act together, this team could easily win the division. But these 2 inexcusable losses will probably cost both the division and homefield, and maybe a playoff spot.

Oh, someone else who thinks the zebras are doing a horrible job this season. I can´t believe this isn´t being talked about more in the media.

They are too busy speaking about the Ump's performances in the World Series to talk about the Ref's in the NFL.
