If i remember correctly, part of the reason why o'leary was fired was coz he did not want to sell ferdinand. thats why risdale got rid of him ... now he is saying that any transfer request handed in by ferdinad wld be turned down. maybe he needs to be reminded abt his own words???

I think he's getting really angry because he knows that Rio wants to go. Surely if he was staying he would have come out and made this clear within the stated 48 hours.
The only reason I can think of for the delay is because a deal is being discussed with his agent.

He's playing games. He wants the Leeds fans to think he is doing all he can to stop Rio, so he's making out that 'Rio wants to leave'. He's protecting his own status, because if Rio was 'Sold', there would be uproar.
