Watching United on Sky Germany?

I find it unbearable at times, and there have been moments when I've even watched the games on mute (before they allowed switching to original commentary).

It feels like we’re listening to a bunch of Liverpool and Arsenal lovers who don’t even hide their dislike for United. Their "experts" seem even worse than those in England!

It’s like listening to the comments of an English tabloid:
"How are they not successful yet, even after the INEOS takeover?"
"Typical United, hiring a sporting director and firing him after just five months."
"United are very disappointing in this game..." and so on

Not once did they criticize City or how they played, nor did they mention the 115 allegations. I really don’t get it.

Or is it just me, and am I being a bit too sensitive about this topic?

Well that's true...

Why would they talk about it? Nobody cares about City in Germany, everybody knows they are only where they are because of money they get from sports washing for a slave trading dictatorship. They are despised anyway and everybody knows they are cheating c*nts. Talking about the details of that would add literally nothing for the average German viewer and he wouldn't care. It's not like in England were fans celebrate if their "club" is bought by some bloodthirsty middle eastern country. There it seems to matter how they broke the rules in detail, here it's enough to look at their owner to despise them.

United on the other hand is a well respected "fallen giant" and people are curious when it will stand up again.

A bit. As mentioned, just see it as a sign of respect that after all these years United is still expected to comfortably win and be convincing against City.

Yes, thank you, I always had the English commentary on but when they lost the rights or didn’t buy them, it became unbearable.
It was excruciating when Klopp was at Liverpool and so called pundits somehow have a soft spot for Arsenal now, no idea why?!
The best are the Hebel brothers, they are great and have huge knowledge of the Premier League.

Maybe you are right... But to be fair, it's not always about United.

I remember watching a West Ham game with Moyes as coach, and a former player of his (I think from his Sunderland stint) was the co-commentator who hated his guts. It was like 90 minutes of how bad Moyes is and how poor West Ham are

Agree with that

Unfortunately, there are no former United players from Germany. Schweinsteiger would be great, as even though he was treated poorly here by mou, he still loves United.

I feel the same. But this problem has a name and it's Toni Tomic. This "expert" spends his time critiquing United and only mentioning the negatives. Your examples are no exaggeration but it is similar in every United game. He clearly supports Liverpool and I have noticed his antiques for years. Besides, his expertise is mediocre and mostly referring to English Boulevard or Transfermarkt.de type of news quality.

I am really surprised SKY DE keeps him unleashed. Maybe we should collectively speak out on social media.

Most of the other experts are fine for United games.

Please tell me more about his Antiques !!!

Thank you for correcting the me, I meant "antics" and obviously not "antiques".

Now, let me add to my defence that we are here in a thread about a part of the community that watch PL games in German. English is my fourth language, so if you want me to provide immaculate formulations, I might have to disappoint you. I do understand when local Mancs are raising eyebrows when foreigners are expressing their opinions from distance, but I see you are a Canadian Leicester fan. Let's please not derail this thread, OPs observation is very much a thing.

I couldn't believe how they were praising Grealish when he was subbed on yesterday. Guys, he's been useless for a long time, do your job!

That was hilarious… even suggesting that pep improved him.

Grealish was fun to watch before he became another robot

I just found it funny & poked a little fun at you. Being a Canadian / English Leicester fan has no bearing on it.

I was watching the live text on the sky app cause I was working, some stage after the hour mark, sky live commentary said some like, foul, that's ugartes 4th foul of the day, what else can this guy do bar foul and pass the ball backwards. Found it a really odd negative thing to type as an employee of a major broadcaster. I was there for match details and live updates. Not some opinion of some ABU. But I actual find sky generally very anti United. Funny thing is without utd especially early Premier league era utd. Sky would not be as major a player. Even now, most engagement they get is utd news positive or negative. But mostly negative. Enjoy nbc more.

I don’t think it would change anything… often they start their bs with „I probably will recieve angry messages again but,…“

Was watching on dazn before sky and it was not as bad, except for one really obvious arsenal fan (cant remember his name)

Seriously??

What did they write about the walker incident?

Feck them, glad I am not alone with that feeling as I felt a bit paranoid at times

It's fine Jeff! The humor medal goes to you. Take good care of Ruud, he is the reason why I became a ManUtd supporter when I was a small kid.
