Was the 'Maine Road Massacre' worth it?

After loosing to arch-rivals Man City, United suddenly had a wake up call and have bounced back stringer than ever with memorable results. Is loosing to Man City worth it? Loosing such highly emotional matches are heart-breaking, but would you forgive United with their recent performances??

Lose to Shitty.

Beat the Scousers and humiliate the Arse.

I think I can live with that. :D

I'd say I can live with it. But for the more "local" fans, I think it probably won't be as easy to accept.

Well it's possible that the alternative would have been beat City and lose to Arse/Poo.

The City defeat fired us up. Maybe that will take some shine out of their victory?

And 26th will be upset at the incorrect use of "loosing" instead of "losing".

I think the boys realised they had to stand up and be counted after the City game so to that extent it was worth it.

But I hope they put the scousers out of the cup and we play them at Maine Rd in the 4th round and wipe that smirk off their 'kin faces and they can't say they won the last derby at Maine Rd ever!

yes but only coz we play each "team" TWICE a season. if we had to go another year before avenging the blue twats i'd say no

Yep, definately. In the treble season it was a loss against Middlesbrough that woke us up. Not being from Manchester ( ) i don't really have any feelings that the Citeh match is any bigger than normal, but i know it is. Most important thing now is, is that we don't go and get complacent again.

I'd forgive United losing to City. I'd forgive them losing to any body if they play with heart. What you can't forgive is the pathetic performance against City when there was a lack of heart from most players. They should give their all every time they pull the shirt on, no excuses.
