Whats it like from there?, i will be watching the middlesbourgh game from there...

Depends how far beck you are. I find the view's OK from tier 2, and if you're behind goal it OK too. The only thing is you are obviously quite a long way from the action.

Could be worse...........could be North stand tier 3!!

How did you get a North stand ticket in the first place? I've only ever received East and West stand tickets from the membership scheme. Would love to be in the North or South stand sometime :(

Just got north stand for Zte,north stand tier 2 for midds and east235 for bolton
:)

Views ok, atmosphere's shit! It's like a bleeding grave-yard up there

To bad the atmosphere is shite, i have never been that far from the action before. back in the day, i used to be in K stand and/or north stand lower which were always good.

Does k stand still stay standing for long periods of the game if its a big one?

Anyway just to be there will be a treat - i was thinking of bringing a British Columbia flag - do you think this is a good idea? seems there is a mancunian element that doesnt take kindly to non manc fans being there (even though im from mc/r). It would be fun if my united fan mates in canada saw it on tv!

Take it zippy...

I only moved sixteen miles up the road and i feel like a day tripper every time i go now.

A Flixton Red can take whatever he wants in.

atmosphere is rubbish, view is great, north stand tier 1 has the best atmosphere and view but that always taken by season ticket holders, long term season ticket holders.

How come you feel like a day tripper?- there probably isnt a more red territory in mc/r other than maybe Salford...

I have a feeling this trip is going to be a real eye opener for me! i get the feeling there have been a lot of changes!

I'll be sure to give a report on my trip as it goes (may even send in a few pics as i do have a digicam)

I have a nice 3 pictures taken back in September 25th, 1999 in the game against Southampton from my seat in the 2nd tier in North Stand. Hopefully they'll give you an idea :)

great pictures!, its kind of weird being able to see outside the stadium but the view doesnt look as bad as i had feared. I can see how the atmosphere wouldnt be that good, your bound to feel a bit removed from everything when your that far away but its definetly 100 times better than watching it on tv. I'll have the missus and kid (8) with me, they have never been to a football match before so its probably a good thing that were up there, at least they wont get to bombarded with f-ing and blinding etc!

Thanks for the pics! im really looking forward to it!

Also just heard that i've got tickets for the family stand v Bolton - never been there either and never thought i would ever end up in there, the atmosphere must be evern deader in there! oh well cant complain i guess at least im going...

Go to the manutd.com site and you can look up where you're sitting and get a pretty good idea what your view is going to be like.

You can get great seats there sometimes. I had a fantastic seat for the Arsenal match a couple of seasons back. The only problem is the atmosphere is pretty bad. You usually hear yourself singing and hope that a couple of people will eventually join in.

you can't see out as much as the East & West stands have had extra tiers since those pictures were taken...
