Vieira

Figo 'had no intention' of leaving Barcelona until he signed for Real one day. Time will tell.

And how do they replace him? It's all very well having 50m in the bank but then you have to think about replacing one of the world's best midfielders.

50m can buy 2-4 solid players. They could easily go after Davids, D'Allesandro, and top notch CB/FB and still have money left over.

50M in for Viera

10M out for Davids

15M out for D'Allesandro

20M out for Thuram

Bottom line: 5m profit and 3 top players.

I'd hate to see Arsenal gain 3 quality players like the ones mentioned. They could use 20m of that on Cisse instead of D'Allesandro. Scary to think. Maybe SAF could send Veron, Yorke, and 10 cases of Budweiser to Arsenal for Viera? <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I think he's screwing Arsenal.
Meanwhile, his contract is running out and he has not signed an extension.

Go figure.

I think he's going to screw them too. Maybe he'll stay at Arsenal for one more year, but then they must sell to avoid loosing him on a bosman. Figo did indeed come out saying he's happy at Barca just days before his transfer came through, so some Gunners are kinda setting themselves up for a fall.

Gooners have 2 choices
They cash in now or let him go when out of contract, after all he only cost 4 million,is it worth them keeping him for a season and losing 30-40 million pound..
To put it in laymans terms if he stays it will be the equivelant of paying him approx 1 million pound a week
No player is worth that

Vieri will stay...then shock the world by signing with United on a free next summer...Blanc will retire, Keane will move to CB...and the Vieri/Veron partnership will begin. We can dream.
