Victor Osimhen

Love how this is a majority of people’s reactions to big transfers on here
The (absolutely vast) majority of big transfer rumours don't happen so the reactions aren't far off.

They've been willing to loan him to galata, surely they're willing to afford us the same generosity?

Weren’t they asking for €35-45m two months ago to get rid desperately? All of a sudden it’s €75m when we are involved?

Completely pointless signing unless we're also getting a new #10 and two new wing backs.

Well we are rumoured to be after Olmo and Hernandez which would both be amazing. Doubt any of that is true though but these three transfers would be quite incredible on paper.

Hello Napoli, can I interest you in one Marcus Rashford?
- one fairly careful owner
- doesn’t do many miles when in use
- very good with children

1 less goal than Piatek and Banza but nearly 300 minutes less football (he joined late in the window). He’d be smashing it as top scorer if he’d played as many games.

Agree. In isolation he is a great player but with the players behind him at the #10 position and those on the flanks we will still struggle.

Wasn’t the feeling in the game that he had had too many injuries, likely to be unavailable for significant periods of the season and was past his peak?

Actually, that sounds right up our street

Quality player, good age, and an obvious upgrade on our current strikers.

But his injury record has to be seen as a concern, even accepting that some of them (like the broken cheekbone) were bad luck.

How have I? How is in any way setting the world alight?
9 goals in 11 appearances is a fantastic return, how in any way is it not? Regardless of if he is playing in the best team or not, he still has to put the ball in the back of the net

Also he is looking for a massive payday too, so it's even more perfect!

Playing for the best teams means u get a lot more chances to do that, surely you would want a 1.5 ratio to be settings things alight at this level.

I did, but I am not sure how 9 in 11 is settings the world alight. Look at who hes playing against, this is a very low level.
Would he be better than our current strikers is the big question.

I've barely even seen him play and know the answer is yes.

He's averaging 1.07 goals per 90 in Turkey. By most normal standards, that can be fairly be described as lighting up the league.

If you're going to look at basic goal tallies, you have to take minutes into account. And the players who have scored more than him in the link you posted have also played between 2 and 4 full 90 minutes games more, in a league than has only played 16 games in total.

1.5? Who is scoring at 1.5? I don’t think that exists as a thing now or historically over a large enough sample size. Gyokeres, who is setting the world alight, is at 1 a game.

Frankly it’s a ridiculous bar you’re expecting that I’ve only seen playing FIFA and not in real life
