Could this thing be lifted, why are people not allowed to search more frequently?

When I click on the "New Posts" thing that counts as searching, its very frustrating sometimes.

Niall increased it to reduce the problems we get on matchday.

The issue relates to too many queries to the database occuring in too short a time. The new post function is in effect a search as well. The longer time between searches will hopefully stop the place grinding to a halt when we are very busy.

Why do you use it anyway? Just go into the forum of your choice and the highlighted threads have new posts.

i know why it was changed, and i think it pretty much solved the problem. But i don`t see the point to keep it in 60 seconds when there`s no game in progress.

And the "new posts" buttom is very handy for the ones that posts in diferent forums like me

Niall isn't going to start screwing around with the settings a couple of times per week. It is more likely that it will get turned off all together.

I look at all forums every day and never find the need to use the search facility.

the New Posts button is very useful, after reading all the posts from the forums I press that to see what ones have been updated since

I have no time limit between posting, and have full serch facilities available to me.
