Does anyone know why Veron is always kicking the ball with the outside of his boot?

One thing I've noticed is that he likes to shoot with the top of his foot and leaning forward as opposed to using his instep. Unfortunately, that is also a more low-percentage way of shooting as its difficult to catch the ball perfectly and more often than not it screws harmlessly far and wide.

You are supposed to strike the ball with your toe down when shooting. Beckham is the only player who doesnt, but he is a freak

Assuncao from Real Betis as well.

Their freekicks always curls back downwards toward goal instead of going higher and higher

There was once when Assuncao hit the post 3 times with 3 different freekicks in a match.

Yeah after playing for so long, I still cannot understand how he can hit a ball so hard with his instep, superstar is all I can say.
