His attitude seems different. His whole demeanour has changed.

He seems as tho he's out there playing for United, and not as a big name player going to show everyone how it's done.

I know he has something to prove - but he had something to prove last season too.

There just seems to be a look about him that's different to last year. He seems more of a team player.

i agree, but it is still early, its very easy to play in a friendly, its different when the pressure kicks in,
but he does look happier playing at the moment, heres hoping for a great season from him

And learning the United way......

It would seem Seba's finally letting Rome go. Yes, Neil is right in pointing out it is very early. However, for a player to come back, after the 'disaster' of a season he had, and be up for it 100% is a very good sign. Hopefully, his form can continue. Prove 'em wrong Seba :)

It's hard to say really. IMO, Keano will start every game possible. Depending on the opponants, Butt can offer different things to Seba. I think we'll see more of Nicky in the big European games, where we need someone more like Keano in the middle. Veron's skill and attacking qualities will give us more of an edge in some Premiership games.

It's possible to start all 3 of them, especially if Giggs plays upfront.

A few moments of success doesn't make Giggs a striker.

What's up Giggzy. Been on the agreeable pills?!

I'd probably say the other way around. Veron is more suited to play continental teams where he gets plenty of time on the ball

Depends on the team - leverkusen gave us no time on the ball, while Bayern were all too happy to give us possession.

You're right - Leverkusen where quite British in their style actually

agreed. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />

however, we'll play with 5 in midfield in the CL, which will mean that Butt will have a great chance for a regular spot.

Agreed

I agree with you too. IMO he's definitely the best winger in the world.

What worries me is he seems to be getting a bit less effective last season -- maybe opponents are too aware of his danger and shutting him down with more bodies??

You didn't forget. You ignored.

Calm down Giggzy. Relax.

:)

I don't think Veron has changed, even not a bit.
He was always a top pro and an excellent and never stopped trying, he might not have had much success but saying he wasn't interested and wasn't playing with his heart is wrong IMO.
He might not be a red all over, but can you blame him ? he's only at United a year, does every player we buy have to be a united fan from birth ?
As for this season, I don't think that the pre-season says too much, he IS fit and he DOES look pretty good, but so he did last season - anyone remember his goal in giggsy's game vs Celtic ? and his first month or so...
I think he will preform this season but you can never know.

Wait and see...as a fellow Argentinian, I know what Seba has felt like since that dark day in Korea. He has something to prove and get some revenge as well. If he stays fit.....look out!

Veron is without a dout one of the best players in the world. he has everything and he will be a major part of the team. if we wan to win trophies we need player like veron who will win use the league, Champions League and FA cup. He will be a big hit this season u will see

Too optimistic... Veron is never on the same calibrate such as Zidane even when he's at his best. But I also believe that Veron will preform much better this season, because:
1. He's more familar with English games
2. He has something to prove
3. There seems no way for him to return to Lazio

says it all :)

<a href="https://www.redcafe.net/news/story.php3?id=20020807095246" target="_blank">Loney Verón</a>

He's really painted a loney picture of himself there, I don't know if it's intentional, but its clever nevertheless. It gets him sympathy, from most of us anyway, we're back on his side, and with his recent performances on the pitch, we are right to believe we'll see an improved Verón this season. Lets hope he'll deliver the goods, I don't want anymore sob-stories come May ;)

I agree with Neil, too early to pass judgement. He was brilliant at the start of last season, won player of the month for October(??) but then look what happened....

Wait until Christmas or even later before passing judgement!
