VERON VS KEANE

Who is better between the two?

I think both have qualities but Veron is the betterman and is going to get better and better, only time will improve him. Veron's vision is fantastic, passing long tricky ball in an unexpected way leaving the opponent losing their balance and stumbled. His skill is exceptional, a trademark of an Argentinian star. His shots, chips and freekicks could match Beckham if not better. As time goes, more of my points will be justified.

As for Roy, he is strong and fit, industrious and have never-say die attitude, but lacks skill in making long, accurate passes. We can trust him to lead MU but Veron gives us more confidence.

I would prefer Veron to play with Phil as he (Veron) seems to be feeling a bit inferior playing with stars, thus could not produce at his full-best.

What do you think...

Errrr, no. Different players performing different roles.

Agree!

They're not comparable, too different. :o

I do this just for comparison....positive comments for positive results,
I am in favour of both...Veron and Keano...
We are looking for your opinions as to who is the best midfielder to marshall the game. If Veron is better, then he may play in important games as midfielder and if otherwise, Keano is the man. Having them both is good so that we have a strong list of midfielders who could help the team to win as many silverwares this year as possibbly, four?

both are class and different in positions and showed very understanding between both recently so feck off and enough bullshit

muppet thread.

why compare two very very different players?

Last I remember they play alongside each other and not a substitute for one another.. their skills are complimentary and that's the most important thing.

These two players perform difficult work on the field, so it's not appropriate to compare "who is better". If you ask "who should play in the important games", my answer is "both". Firstly, Keano is our captain and spiritual leader, so he should play in all important games. Secondly, we paid 28m to get Veron because we hope he can give us something extra in big games, so it's meaningless if he doesn't play in big games.

are you an android? and who is this shadowy "we " you are referring to?
am gonna hide under me bed til the scary men go away

It's amazing the second reply to this thread said it wasn't worth discussing but we're now over 20 replies so i might as well have my say.

Keane, one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, would quite happily tackle an Artic Lorry if it was in the way. Got a remarkable stamina level. One of the few players who can run from Box to Box all day.

Veron, an undoubtled talent. Has a fantastic range of passing matched by his vision. Has the ability to turn a game in an instant.

As to the question who is better. It depends on the situation. If you are penned in you own half and can't get possession then you choose Keane everytime. If you are running the opposition ragged but need that extra spark to make the break through then you choose Seba

Veron's passing and vision are fantastic, quality playmaker.Keane provides a lot of inspiration ,a very good defensive midfielder, born leader. Both are fine players. They cant be compared.
But both are emotional .Keano should've achieved more if he had underplayed his emotions..Veron the other way...
Both are playing for United..we will leave it there.

salmon vs. green salad, which is better?

personally, i think salmon is more all rounded, you can eat it raw (yummy sashimi, salmon sushi), grilled, smoke, steam, pan fired... i like salmon whether it's smoke or grill or raw all the same.

on the other hand, i love veggies, give me a healthy feeling, with a dash of vineger, olive oil and pepper. good starter if you ask me.

Conclusion: Salmon is better! No, Salad! oh no, salmon!... give me both any day! But remember a good chef is important!

Actually, Verón is a rare player for local standards. His first touch is much more brasilian than argentine and his long, precise passes are something that are simply not seen around these parts. His way of dribbling is also uncharacteristic of the River Plate region.

For a "trademark of an Argentine star", look to Redondo or Aimar.

I can honstly say I have never heard bullshit like this in all my life, Keano- a man who has lead us to success on an unprecented level is being compared to anybody at the club(least an expensive flop as per Veron), when Veron has played well for a few games in succession (not several years as in Keano's case) then we will make comparisons.

P.S I notice you are from Malaysia

stupid thread really, agree with you guys with apples and oranges

PS:It will be better if you compare Butt and Keane

Veron had the better skills learned from the several big named clubs he played. But the attitude and determination to win will be more in Butt and Keano's heart.

No. Keano is more attacking, Butt is more of a defensive midfielder, while Roy is an engine and the driving force of the team. Just because Roy can tackle it doesn't mean he's a defensive midfielder.

Keane wants to attack too much more than he wants to defend : Veron plays too deep in his own half and he loses his creativity .

Agreed.I will pick Keano over Seba if i pick a
United X1 ....Keano's contribution to our team is
second to none. You can hardly find any player who
provides more inspiration ...But if I pick
a World X1 i will take Veron..He is one of the finest midfielders in the world....Both are different....Both are playing for United...they cant be compared ...

Why do we have such fickle fans?? I assume from this thread that you have been away on a 10 year holiday or that you have been imprisoned for the last decade. Roy Keane has been an inspirational leader blessed with a determination and will-to-win unmatched in his era. He has been an ever present during our total domination of English football over the last 10 years winning European Cups, EPL's, FAC Cups etc. His performances make him probabley the most consistent footballer ever to wear the red of Utd (I say consistent, not the most talented).

The answer to your question is Roy Keane without the slightest doubt!!

Yes Veron might be more talented...But the real United hero is Keano..How can we prefer any other
player to Keane????

Bit of a harsh statement. Seba has got a brilliant attitude, if he hadn't he would have walked away in the summer after all the stick he got for last season. Any player big enough to stand up and admit he had a poor season and then to respond the way he has deserves all the praise he gets.
I can't understand why people are questioning Seba's will to win. He's been outstanding in some of the big matches (City excluded) Against Arsenal and Liverpool he was excellent.
Just because he's only been here 18 minths doesn't mean he isn't fully committed to the club. I personally thought he would have left us before the start of this season but he's come back and been one of the main reasons why we won 8 in a row.

Probably because he rarely runs and shirks out of 50-50 challenges. He's improved on this a bit recently but its certainly a valid criticism of him last season.

too harsh? oh dear..sorry for that. I'm actually a seba fan, he's the player I like to see most in MU just behind Ryan Giggs. When he signed MU I bought a home shirt with his name and number 4 printed behind. Although I'm frustrated with his performance in some of the games but what I disliked from him was he had the great abilities but didn't utilized it well to help the team to win. Anyway what's important now is he's being great so far this season and I hope he can keep it up and get better and better. :)

By comparing Seba with Keano some are slagging them..Keano is always a hero..Seba ?????????
...Italian foootball is allabout tactics..Here its hustle and bustle...winning the ball..etc.Any player is bound to struggle.Look how much he has improved ...You can't say Seba is a flop cos he
did'nt perform well last season. Now look how much
he has adapted..Bryan Robson last season in MUTV said that Seba is working harder and trying amazing things at training...and added if he implements them in matches some great things are going to happen thats what is happening right now.....
Even if Keano or Beckham today is transferred to Juventus or Real they would struggle to adapt there atleast for a season ....
U cant disrespect Keano cos he is out of form....
Respect Keano and admire Veron Dont compare them..
Both are for United..lets be proud...
