If Veron were to stay during the summer, then who would you rather have as Keane's regular centre midfield partner?

Veron or Scholes? Either one but not both together 
Honestly for me it would have to be Scholes as I think the midfield of
Becks -- Keano-- Scholes --- Giggs
is the best ....

At the moment, Scholes - only a fool would suggest otherwise - but in the long run Veron will find his feet and give us more options.

Either he starts or he doesn't play at all imo. He is just not effective as a sub, a player like Veron needs to adjust to the game and build up an understanding.

That is not a bad idea - Veron and Scholes together and Keano in central defence. I like it! It could be the answer to the midfield and defensive gelling problems this year.
Keano is far from finished in midfield but as he gets older he can be moved back - and if that happens he could play until the 37 yr or even older mark. Remember Robbo did it, and Robbo`s body took even more batterings than Keano`s has.
Sounds like a good option and something that would help solve the dilemma of how, when and where to play Veron.

1. We need Keano in midfield ... not in defense.
2. If we're playing 4-4-2, Scholes is my choice.
3. If Fergie & the lads can adapt to a 3-5-2 formation then here is what I think

The 3-5-2 formation is unlikely to work for us as you can't reduce a defender in a team that is already relatively weak in defence. 4-4-2 is still our most natural and well proven formation and we should continue to keep it. Just as some people said, our best midfield at this moment must be Becks-Scholes-Keano-Giggs. But who know the situation in next season? If Veron can play to his best standard, he can definitely get a place in our team.
but at the same time we shouldnt chop and change our formation to try and find one that suits an individual player. It upsets the balance of the TEAM, which is Uniteds great strength.
IMO..........Scholesy all the way! We`ve got enough outstanding midfielders and Veron is far from his real conditions
