Veron is beginning to look twice the player Beckham is....

especially now that Becks seems to have lost any ounce of pace he may have once had....

Btw, I'm a becks fan -- he's obviously not fully match fit. Let's hope he gets back to his flying best.

What I'm saying is that Veron is proving a lot of us wrong. I thought he should be sold in the summer, but now he is arguably our most important player.

Veron is a master.

Hes not proving me wrong :D

(nor Diego for tht matter) <img src="graemlins/angel.gif" border="0" alt="[Angel]" />

Me neither! :D

Remember me defending them aswell. Just common sense though, everyone bar the blind could see the lads had class. But then we have the whinging assholes who start complaining everytime a pass goes wrong.

people had a right to complain about his performances last season and early this year.
He was sloppy, didnt tackle too much, had no consistency and lacked something.

I dont know whats happened in his head but somethings clicked and he's starting to look every ounce the world-class footballer that people have said he is. I for one am happy to eat humble pie if he keeps going the way he is.

Seems pretty normal that a world class footballer would do well eventually. Pirez was the same at Arsenal (and Bergkamp).

As it seems pretty normal that Beckham won't stop being a world-class footballer.

All this is true.
But Veron was "world class" in only three or four matches last season. He certainly didn't deserve to hold his place based on how he was performing.

Nice to see that that has changed now.

I will think that veron owns the better footballer skills( from he's previous clubs and Argen International) but Beckham have the better talents. Everytime I see becks played I noticed that he shows us some new things inherit from his teammates( giggs, veron, nistelrooy, forlan...) beside his own skills. For veron, although he performed well in recent few games but he did some mistakes and losing concentrations when he's tired in the last few dying minutes. This is enough to give us some anxious moments. I hope he can improve to that because I believe he will be the heart of united in future few years.

Totally agree with everything said.

I'm really stunned that everyone is having a dig at becks!

Last season he averaged a goal every two and a bit games which is what a great striker should be on!

Please his corners and free-kicks set up more goals than any other player.

He's not match fit yet and is completely different to veron, so no comparision can be made and stop giving him stick!

a bit like 10 or 15 other players in the squad last season.
No reason to single Seba out, he was one of several underperformers last season.

Human nature Murt.

Most of the other players are not considered world-class. If Seba was touted as a better player, or as the best in the world which some claimed, the criticism was understandable.

Yes, the situation in this forum is going very strange in these two days. I can fully understand a player getting critized for lazy, not giving his full effort, just after a very bad match, or has been underperform for a very long period. But this lastest Beckham-hunting campaign is abnormal, it just suddenly came out from nothing! I hope any true United supporters can keep away from it and do the thing a "supporter" should do.

as Liv says Murt its human nature. He cost 28m of course we expected more from him. If we wanted to see someone constantly give the ball away we could have brought in a fan, stuck a shirt on him & threw him out on the pitch. Hell, who knows he may have done better than some of Verons performances last year.
