He plays since 2012 at Lokomotiv Moscow.......now on his way to Bayern Munich according to the croatian and russian press.

Some will say "Probably just a rumour"....but he follows Bayern Munich on Instagram since a couple of days.

What a weird transfer that would be. Why wouldn't Bayern just give gametime to one of their youngsters instead of opting for an old Croatian who's a bit shit.

They don't have currently any promising youngsters.
Squad depth. Wasn't Tasci there on a loan?
Yes. Confirmed that they wouldn't buy him for 8m €....so he goes back to Spartak Moscow.

Seems to be something in it. Weird transfer, he isnt even good enough for their bench. They have Hummels, Boateng, Benatia, Martinez and Badstuber(although injured most of the time) as CB, dont know why they want Corluka. He is a midtable, lower team type of defender, Hamburg or Stuttgart, something like that.

Corluka is a RB though.

Ancelotti must have seen him being comprehensively outpaced by the likes of Rickie Lambert, Mikel Arteta and Steve Bruce and thought "He'll do for me".

Same agent as Costa?
Probably some convoluted backhander / favour... Give them a transfer ban, kick them out of the cl (and give us their place) and make them sell us muller

Great, ankther player Woody misses out on I nthe transfer market. Useless sack of shit.

Maybe they want him as a designated Place Kicker NFL style?
Takes a mean penalty which is a troubled area for them.

He's not as bad as some are making out, he's not a bad squad player to have.

Every team needs squad players. Maybe he can replace Badstuber with the advantage of being able to stay fit most of the time. I don't expect Ancelotti to keep playing Alaba and Kimmich as CB.

"Abendzeitung" picked up the rumour, citing "Vecernji List" as source. Apparently, he was considered in winter, where we finally ended up with Tasci. "AZ" also says he is just a backup plan in case the Hummels transfer goes downhill--?! thought that was already sealed.

Same article mentions Serge Aurier from PSG as possible Bayern target.

Croatian papers usually just copy what they find from abroad regarding transfers so I wouldn't trust Vecernji much.

It would be a strange trasnfer. His best days are already behind him although he's just 30. He's a decent CB but really slow and mistake prone. I guess he could be a decent option from the bench but I can't see him in Bayern really. If Bayern wants a good Croatian defender they should go for Jedvaj.

I'm happy they're starting to sign shit players. The squad they have for next season is bordering on criminal it's that good.

He'd only be used in rotation and has lots if experience. Alonso hasn't ran since signing for them in 2014 and he's doing fine, their league isn't so competitive

Badstuber is missing in that picture :(.

Transfers like this show why LVG deserves credit for giving youth a chance. We'd be horrified if this happened at United instead of giving the opportunity to a youth player.

We didn't sign him? It was just a rumour a few weeks ago?

I worded the opening sentence poorly. By 'transfers like this' I meant general signings of older players as cover.

That's just depressing, seeing as we have only DDG, Martial and Shaw who are undoubtedly at the level we are trying to achieve. And like Balu said, they even forgot to add Badstuber to the mix. It's actually interesting how Ancelotti, one of the managers who doesn't like the rotation much will deal with this squad. Maybe we'll sign up a few of the rejects?

They don't have a cover for Lewa, their squad planning is shit :wenger:

The rumour is back

Still a bit strange, but he had a good Euro and Bayern has Boateng, Hummels and a lot of questionmarks at CB.
Is Benatia leaving? (Yes)
Can you trust Badstuber? (No)
Does Ancelotti regard Martínez as a CB or midfielder? (Who knows)

So it would make kinda sense to ad a veteran and they we're rumored to be interested before loaning Tasci.
