Vaughan suffers finger injury.

From BBC Sport...
England captain Michael Vaughan was taken to hospital for an X-ray after damaging a finger while batting for Yorkshire against Hampshire.

Vaughan was hit by a rising ball from Australia seamer Stuart Clark and after briefly playing on he left the field.

Yorkshire physio Scott McAllister said: "It is the middle finger on his right hand, but we won't know any more about what has happened until much later."

Vaughan, who is looking for form after a miserable winter, had scored 16 runs.

The 32-year-old made 72 before being run out in Yorkshire's first innings on Wednesday.

After a disappointing World Cup with the bat there have been question marks over Vaughan's England captaincy future, especially in the one-day game.

But new England coach Peter Moores confirmed Vaughan would skipper England in at least the first Test against West Indies at Lord's on 17 May.

So, we are back where we were at the beginning of the Winter. Maybe this time, Strauss will get the nod.

There are rumblings that Colllingwood might step in and not Strauss.

Hmm, should be Strauss.

Has to be Strauss, he did a good job when he had it against Pakistan and certainly never done anything to suggest he should be over looked again.

Vaughan is the cricket's equivalent of our very own Saha.
